Healthy Eggnog Recipe with option to make a protein shake
Ingredients
8 cups 2% Milk
3 whole eggs
3 egg whites
¾ cup truvia
3 tbsp vanilla
1 tbsp
cinnamon
1 tbsp ground
nutmeg
8 oz of
vanilla flavored protein powder (I use Dymatize Nutrition whey & casein
blend)
Instructions
Mix eggs and
egg whites together in a bowl and set aside.
In a blender mix together 5 cups of milk with truvia, vanilla, cinnamon,
and nutmeg. Empty this mixture into a 4
qt pot and heat over medium-high heat until it lightly boils. Reduce heat to simmer and stir in the eggs.
Wisk for 2 minutes while simmering.
Remove from heat and chill in the refrigerator overnight.
To make this a
protein shake mix in the protein powder after chilling overnight. Add 8 oz to the entire mixture or 1 oz per
serving. This recipe makes 8 servings.
